SHARKTOOTH® CROSSOVER PICKS™ REVOLUTIONIZE GUITAR PLAYING

Santa Ana, CA --Widely acclaimed as the latest significant design evolution of the traditional guitar flatpick, guitarist and designer Greg M. Atkin is pleased to announce the formation of Strum-N-Comfort Picking Systems® and the introduction of patent-pending "SharkTooth Picks"™ to musicians around the world. Whether you play bluegrass, fingerstyle, rock n roll, classical or blues, acoustic or electric guitar, the "SharkTooth Pick"™ is a sure-fire way of blending technique, improving skill and enjoying guitar playing.

Extensive research revealed problems universally mentioned with conventional thumbpicks and flatpicks of rigid, molded plastic. Research yielded the following results: 1) conventional thumbpicks were judged very uncomfortable; and, 2) conventional thumbpicks constantly slipped off while playing.

Conventional flapick complaints were: 1) they frequently and easily dropped while playing; and, 2) from a practical, playing point-of-view, holding the flatpick between the thumb and forefinger, while fingerpicking, requires an advanced skill that can only be perfected through repeated and tedious practice sessions. Even when perfected, the player's forefinger is rendered useless in the majority of these hybrid-picking styles.

Drawing on his 30+ years of guitar playing experience, Designer Atkin has developed three "SharkTooth"™ models for the Strum-N-Comfort® product line that completely eliminate these problems with an elegant solution. A neoprene sleeve envelops a flatpick and comfortably wraps around the thumb. It is secured with easily adjustable, non-slipping Velcro. The lower part of the flatpick that hits the strings protrudes through a distal hole in the neoprene. Careful experimentation yielded the optimum size, shape and angle of this opening.

The "Traditional" is the first of the three "SharkTooth Pick"™ models going to market. Total control is made possible by the soft and flexible sleeve. The "Traditional" design uses a Velcro strap and can be adjusted for thumb size and for overall plectrum flexibility. This model is recommended for beginners and established players alike.

The second model, the "Hybrid", locates the plectrum on the inside of the sleeve and is quickly learned. This model owes its playing approach to the Merle Travis-Chet Atkins fingerstyle technique. Additionally, flatpicking and fluid strumming come as naturally to the player as does the Atkins-Travis fingerstyle technique.

When strumming, the soft, flexible neoprene sleeve completely eliminates the awkward feel and discomfort common to rigid, plastic thumbpicks. When held and used as a conventional flatpick, single-note lead lines are more fluid. The variable angle of attack of the plectrum on the strings provides the player with the widest possible range of dynamic and tonal variations. The versatile nature of the "SharkTooth"™ allows players to incorporate their favorite flatpicks if they so choose.

The third model, the "Un-Thumb-Pick"™, offers unparalleled technical flexibility. The "Un-Thumb-Pick"™ holds the plectrum on the outside of the sleeve allowing control over every aspect of play. Engage the pick at will, and when released, the pick retracts to enable a natural classical approach.

A modicum of recommended practice produces superior and more comfortable playing. Whether one plays Guitar, Banjo, Bass, Resonator, Autoharp or Pedal-steel guitar, "SharkTooth"™ promises to be standard gear for established players and beginners alike.

Internationally acclaimed guitarists are very enthusiastically receiving "SharkTooth"™. One extremely prominent guitarist has gone so far as to analogize the quantum leap of "SharkTooth"™ over older, conventional flat and thumbpicks with the technological advancement of word-processing over typewriters! While flatpicks and thumbpicks have an important place in a players' gear bag. "SharkTooth"™ picks occupy their own unique niche in the revolutionary "Crossover"™ category of pick technology

Now on the market at locations in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia, this exciting new product rewards users with an experience in playing that was previously unimaginable. "SharkTooth"™ absolutely improves musical skills in comfort.

"SharkTooth's"™ technical advancement, versatility and superiority herald a new-era in guitar playing. Leading-edge musicians are incorporating "SharkTooth Picks"™ at a rate that affirms "SharkTooth"™ as a genuine breakthrough in guitar playing. The guitar pick of the future has arrived; its' name is "SharkTooth™"!
